Silver Age BATWOMAN (Kathy Kane)
Batwoman is a wealthy heiress, named Kathy Kane, who—inspired by the notorious superhero Batman—chooses, like him, to put her wealth and resources towards funding a war on crime in her home of Gotham City. Batwoman was created by Bob Kane and Sheldon Moldoff with writer Edmond Hamilton. Batwoman began appearing in DC Comics stories beginning with Detective Comics #233 (1956).
